"The nose is delicate and fruity displaying dominant aromas of fresh white pear and dry fruits such as hazelnuts and almonds, followed by white flower notes, Viennese pastry and buttered brioche. The palate reveals a dominant freshness, displaying both tactile roundness and enduring length."
Ruinart is the oldest Champagne house, founded in 1729 after Louis XV's royal decree authorising the transport of champagne in bottles. Their style is more towards rich, round champagnes which are to be savoured and enjoyed with food in the same way as a white (or red) burgundy.
