"The colour here is both bright and quite deep, whilst the nose has lovely perfume and the palate lovely soft texture with super flavour. there is lovely integration on the finish and this is now drinking beautifully. A blend of 50% Pinot Noir, macerated on its skins to introduce the colour with a balance of 25% Chardonnay and 25% Pinot Blanc."
Gyéjacquot Fréres ('jee -ay- jack-o') are located in the quiet village of Celles-sur-Ource in the Côte des Bar region of Champagne. They source fruit from 20 different vineyards across 4 municipalities largely planted on Kimmeridgean soils. The estate is run by brothers Cyril and Frederic Gyejacquot and we are very impressed by their pursuit of quality and their range of champagnes. They are very fairly priced and offer delicious finesse in an elegant bright style.
