"Red berry nose with bright, light floral notes. The palate delivers blackcurrant fruits amid smooth, elegant tannins." Deep ruby in colour, with alluring aromas of ripe red cherry, cassis and a hint of liquorice. The palate is full-bodied with silky, ripe tannins. Concentrated flavours of ripe red fruits, tobacco and graphite.
The vineyard enjoys one of the best elevations on the right bank, giving the wines freshness and concentration. The south facing vines are planted on clay and limestone soils and range from 15 to 60 years old. The vines are sustainably farmed, giving a wine of gorgeous intensity and purity.
Chateau La Gravette Lacombe, Medoc, Cru Bourgeois 2015
Owned by the Lacombe Family, the venerable estate of Chateau La Gravette is mentioned in the original Cocks and Feret Bordeaux listing of 1850 and stands proudly in the centre of the town of Lesparre Médoc on fine gravel beloved of Cabernet. As well as the exuberant Cabernet, lush Merlot and a tiny amount of spicy Petit Verdot complete the wine. Wine Enthusiast -"Ripe and full of black fruits. The tannins and wood are well integrated into the rich mélange of berries and acidity. Worth aging." The bouquet is full of red fruits with a hint of vanilla. Smooth and sumptuous with integrated tannins. Nice long finish.

"Aromas of Plums, dried strawberries and spices. Some incense. Medium body, firm and silky tannins and a flavorful finish. Tight and linear yet the texture is very silky." The beautiful Louis XIII Chateau has been in the Bassereau family since 1900. The Vineyard is in the heart of the Cotes de Bourg, on one of the highest points and just 8 Hectares in size. Predominantly Merlot, with Cabernet and small amounts of Malbec.
