The grapes are harvested on the highest slopes of the Valpolicella valleys, slowly dried, then softly pressed and left on the lees to obtain its full colour. The Recchia family have been making wines in the heart of Valpolicella for over 100 years. Riccardo-Guido, Chiara, Enrico, Roberto, Elisa and Luca Recchia are the current custodians of the family estates and continue to invest strongly in their properties and wine making facilities. Their Valpolicella vineyards are found in the villages of Negrar, Marano, San Pietro in Cariano, Fumane and Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella. In 1987 the family extended their holdings to Garda purchasing a property in the commune of Castelnuovo del Garda, here they produce classic Bardolino, Bardolino Chiaretto and Bianco de Custoza.
