This bottling marks the 10th anniversary of the Chichibu Distillery, Japan. The Chichibu The Peated - 10th Anniversary 2018 is around 5 years old, as it was distilled in 2013.
Nose: Delightful and soft. Chocolaty fluffy clouds of smoke. Vanilla and ripe apples. Perfect maltiness. Caramel and nuts. A touch meaty and earthy. Toasted oak in the back.
Taste: Rich and full bodied. Strawberry fields on fire! Yay! Some citrus as well as vanilla, caramel and the same earthy notes I found on the nose.
Finish: Medium long finish. Remains rich and full in character. Citrus, ginger and honey. Sweet wood smoke. Lovely!
