The jewel in the Carlo Pelligrino crown is the dessert wine from the island of Pantelleria, a volcanic outcrop of black lava rock situated off the arid Tunisian coast which forms Italy's southernmost DOC region. Pellegrino has invested over £2 million in the construction of a winery. The fruit is soft pressed and cool fermented to capture the wonderful freshness of the grapes.
