A fine mid crimson red. The bouquet is elegant for Grèves yet with some stuffing. I like the quality of the fruit, and there is enough to fill the mouth attractively, until reaching the tannins at the back which are always a little more pronounced with Grèves. I think the fruit holds up though. Firm even so. Drink from 2026-2032

Pale crimson. Rather beautifully haunting perfume. The most elegant of these Chanson 2021 Beaune premiers crus. Savoury but not tough finish after some flatteringly sweet fruit. Vigorous. Drink 2027 – 2040"
On the Mont Battois hillside, facing Beaune, the name 'Grèves' derives from the sandy and gravely soil. Separated from the Clos des Fèves by a narrow path this Chanson vineyard covers 2 hectares.
