"90 Points, Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW (Wine Advocate): "Produced from Parkburn and Gibbston fruit, the 2009 Pinot Noir has a ruby red color and notes of red plum and red cherry over underbrush and peppered pigeon breast. Richly fruited and medium bodied, it is well structured with firm grainy tannins and crisp acid, finishing long and spicy. Drink it now to 2015+.""
Rockburn was established in the then little-known region of Central Otago in 1991. In 2005, winemaker Malcolm Francis arrived from Felton Road where his skills immediately reaped the rewards when he won the Elite Gold Medal. The estate Pinot Noir is fast gaining a reputation as one of the finest produced in Central Otago.
