Kukupa Sauvignon Blanc comes from the prized coastal vineyards of Keresley Estate at Dillons Point in north Marlborough, about half a mile from the sea. The estate is owned by the Glover Family, with Ben at the helm, who switched their focus from dairy farming in the late 1980's to vineyards and have created an enviable reputation for their fresh and aromatic wines.
Fermented in stainless tanks at low temperature with natural yeasts to ensure the single site is expressed in the wine, and named after a New Zealand pigeon famed for getting tipsy by eating the fermenting grapes!
