2015 Pouilly Fuissé 'En Vergisson', Maison de Montille

Tasting Notes

Aidan Bell
This is now in full bloom, with the reduction often associated with young wines from de Montille now settled and developed from struck match into a toasty noisette bouquet. The family's preference for early harvest crisp fresh fruit has served them well in this ripe vintage, preserving a delicious mouthwatering finish alongside orchard fruits on the palate. An excellent Bin End with a healthy discount. Tasted August 2020

The 2015 Pouilly Fuisse Vergisson has a reserved, apple blossom and slate-tinged bouquet that needed quite a bit of encouragement from the glass. The palate is bright and fresh on the entry: fresh pear, green apple and melon, with good weight on the textured finish. Enjoy this over the next 4-7 years. The Wine Advocate Dec 2016
