"Deep and intense ruby colour, this is an elegant wine with lovely aromatics of violets, black cherry, strawberry, and raspberry. The gentle palate has soft, gentle tannins from the ripe fruit and subtle use of oak (70% of the cuvee has been oak aged). We found the flavour opens up over 24 hours – you can safely keep this open on the side for a day or two."
Malbec is not widely grown in Chile (it is of course well know from the other side of the Andes), but these vineyards in the Bío Bío Valley, the southernmost and coolest vineyard region in Chile have produced a beautifully balanced example. The dynamic team at Vina Indomita manage over 1400 ha of vineas across Chile from their centre of operations in Casablanca and are certified for their approach to Sustainable Viticulture.
