Sourced from two parcels of vines near Limoux. The Upper Valley terroir, with clay and limestone soil, has a cool climate because of its altitude, whilst the lower lying parcel is predominantly sandstone soil with higher humidty. The two parcels are vinified separately and then blended in appropriate proportions to ensure a crisp yet well rounded and very recognisable Sauvignon Blanc.
"Floral, aromatic and inviting, the palate is round with soft texture and a good clean finish"
The Baron Philippe de Rothschild own label range has been developed by the family to bring good value drinking wines to the table by utilising their extensive wine making contacts in the Limoux region. To source the fruit they have developed strong relationships with local growers and in many instances they incorporate young vine fruit from their Domaine Baron'arques.
