"(90-92)/100 Neal Martin, Vinous
The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Champonnets 1er Cru was showing a touch of reduction on the nose out of barrel, although there are pleasant red plum and bergamot scents tucked underneath. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chewy tannin and good depth, quite stocky for a Gevrey-Chambertin, and a dash of black pepper appears on the finish. Fine."
