""This has a deep colour that has now moved from youthful purple to a gentle garnet, the bouquet is settled and integrated and retains a fresh and energetic lift whilst the palate offers well balanced mature notes of black olives and a warming flavour. A lovely example of ripe ‘cool climate’ mature Australian Shiraz that is now drinking beautifully, an exceptionally good value find." Aidan Bell "
Yarra Valley Shiraz/Viognier is one of Australia’s finest wines – the archetypal blend synonymous with Northern Rhône red. The Viognier magically softens the texture and mouthfeel of the Shiraz creating an opulent and elegant wine with a real depth. These Shiraz Grapes were co-fermented with 3% Viognier, which was partly aged in French oak barriques for 18 months.
Yering Station in the Yarra Valley was Victoria’s first vineyard, established in 1838, the current owners, the Rathbone Family purchased the estate in 1996. Today, with the help of renowned winemaker Willy Lunn, Yering Station’s cool climate Yarra Valley wines are much sought after and applauded.
