Beau-Séjour Bécot is one of the leading 1er Grand Cru Classé B châteaux and is a wonderful place to visit due to the vast expanse of limestone caves directly under the vines. Beau-Séjour Bécot's 17 hectares are located on a limestone plateau in the north-west part of the appellation right next to the town and are planted with 70% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Franc and 6% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is matured in oak barrels (50-70% new) for 18-20 months.
