"Jancis Robinson MW 16.5+/20
Promisingly transparent garnet. Delicately perfumed – quite different in style from the
Savigny and Pernand 2019 already tasted. Very gentle with sweet but not sickly fruit and a
texture that feels like brushing a feather across the palate – although there is quite enough
fine tannin here. Very forward! Even though one would expect it to gain in flavour and
stature in bottle. This is serious wine with a minerally undertow."
On the Mont Battois hillside, facing Beaune, the name 'Grèves' derives from the sandy and gravely soil. Separated from the Clos des Fèves by a narrow path this Chanson vineyard covers 2 hectares.
