2022 Puligny Montrachet 'Les Reucheux', Seguin Manuel

Tasting Notes

"90-92 Points (4 Stars) Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy
A domaine vineyard. A fine pale colour. The bouquet is delicate yet refined, and certainly not too ripe. Fresh apple notes on the palate with a little bit of lime to rinse. The oak does not appear until the very back. Well done. Drink from 2027-2032. Tasted Oct 2023.

88-90 Point - Neal Martin, Vinous.com
The 2022 Puligny-Montrachet Les Reuchaux has a fresh bouquet of green apples and pears, with hints of mint coming through with aeration. The fresh, clean palate has good weight and tension. The vivacious finish has sapidity to encourage another sip. Not long-term, yet well-crafted. Drinking Window 2025 - 2033

Vineyard Information

A long established negociant that also own a proportion of their own vineyards, managed by the highly respected Thibaut Marion.

Initially located in Savigny-lès-Beaune, new plots have been added to the domain since 2005 in the villages of Beaune and Puligny-Montrachet, and more recently in Pommard, Meursault and Vosne-Romanée. 6 hectares of vineyard are now directly grown by the estate.

Vineyards are grown using organic and biodynamic farming methods, without any chemicals. The estate was granted an official certification in 2015. The soil is ploughed in order to eliminate competing weeds, to develop its microbial life and strengthen the roots of the vines. The date of harvest is decided when each plot has reached its full ripeness. Each plot is harvested by hand.
