"Highly recommended beautifully balanced dry white made from 60-year-old vines. Grenache blanc 67%, Clairette 30%, Bourboulenc 3%. Manual harvest allowing for selective sorting, long whole-cluster pressing, ageing - Demi-muids 40%, Stainless steel 60%"
Georges Perrot is now firmly established in spanking new purpose-built cellars in the village of Rasteau, aided by his charming wife, Delphine, and hopefully his son when he finishes his studies. Georges sells a little in bulk to some top négociants, Guigal and Chave, and then keeps the rest for his own sales. He is making lovely, succulent wines more akin to Burgundy.
Georges’s whites are particularly recommended.
