"16/20 Jancis Robinson MW
Wild notes on the nose – spice and leather. The palate is rich and powerful. Firm, grainy tannins and a pretty introverted palate at the moment. Layered finish that needs some time to come together."
The Perrin fmaily refer to this as the 'other Châteauneuf of the family!' For the most part Les Sinards is made from the young vines at Beaucastel blended with a neighboring vineyard to the west of Beaucastel. Mostly Grenache, with a touch of Mourvèdre and Syrah. Partly vinified like Beaucastel and partly vinified in the traditional way after destemming. 100% Foudres for a year. Bottled after fining and light filtration. This is a classic Châteauneuf du Pape.
The 2022 vintage was shaped by a warm, dry season, followed by just the right amount of August rainfall. The result? A wine that bursts with ripe Grenache fruit, softened by a touch of Syrah, and supported by fine, silky tannins. It’s full of energy, yet elegant, and ready to be enjoyed now
