HALVES
André Dezat bought 4.5 hectares of particularly well-sited vineyard near Tracy, which has been expanded a little each year to a total of 15 hectares, with parcels in other communes including St. Andelain and Nozet. Of their 15 hectares, 65% are from the clay/limestone pebbles, 25% limestone and clay and 10% flint.
Everyone has been astonished by the quality since their first vintage in 1984 won a gold medal in Paris. Low yields and assiduous care taken both in the vineyard and cellars ensure a great wine with a pedigree second to none. A pneumatic press is used and a long alcoholic fermentation is carried out in stainless steel at between 16 °C to 18°C and aged on its fine lees for 2 months.
