Lovely, limpid, pale ruby of traditional Nebbiolo. Perfume combines sweet cherry fruit and gentle floral characters of rose petals. Both very pretty and very primary. Builds in aromatic intensity as it sits in the glass and gains a faint hint of smokiness in the background. On the palate it's beautifully pure, sappy and succulent. Very crisply defined, sweet, red fruit with juicy acids. Tannins are marked and high tensile but they remain brisk and refreshing rather than gratingly dry. So pure and expressive, you could pretty much drink this now with great pleasure. Whilst it's not particularly complex, the crystalline quality of the fruit is very impressive and it finishes with fragrance and moderate length."
