"Bright ruby showing the first signs of evolution, the nose has lovely freshness and energy with bright supple red fruits, the palate is just starting to open up and has silky texture and incredibly refined tannins. Starting to drink well, this has excellent balance and beautiful fine length, you really feel the class in this wine. Aidan - April 2019"
Haut Roc Blanquant is the young vine cuvée produced by Chateau Bélair-Monange. The vineyards are planted 90% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc
Chateau Bélair-Monange is one of St Emilion's 1er Cru Classé estates delivering wines of the finest quality, as well as the home of Edouard Moueix. In 2008 Christian Moueix (Edouard’s father) purchased Ch Bélair and renamed the property Ch Bélair-Monange (after Edouards grandmother, who's nick name was Monange - literally "Little Angel"). In 2012 Ch Magdelaine was merged into Bélair-Monange creating an estate of exceptional potential on some of the finest terroir in St Emilion. Following huge investment in the vineyards and cellars the Grand Vin is now held in the same esteem as its famous neighbours, Ch Ausone and Ch Canon, and their 2015 vintage achieved global recognition following a perfect 100 point score from James Suckling and 98+ from The Wine Advocate.
