Violets, lilac, roses and lavender; the 2018 Brunello di Montalcino is a veritable florist shop on the nose. It’s soft-textured, almost juicy on the palate, with a mix of tart wild berries and savory herbal tones both energized and sweetened by vibrant acidity. This echoes with nuances of licorice and black currants, while a gentle staining of tannins adds youthful poise. A short stay in the cellar will be necessary to fully unlock the 2018’s undeniably pretty nature. Drinking Window 2024 - 2029 Reviewed Oct 2022"
