With fruit from four sites in La Morra and Serralunga d'Alba that are fermented separately and blended at the end, the Cascina Adelaide 2019 Barolo 4 Vigne shows a dark character with savory aromas matched to a more pronounced mouthfeel. That extra richness is a signature of the house style, although that style has been tweaked over the years to prize length and silkiness. After a highly successful engineering career, Amabile Droco achieved his lifetime's ambition when he purchased an old farmhouse and the accompanying vineyards in the heart of the village of Barolo.
