Laurent Guillet is a brilliant young winemaker. Intitially he had 6 hectares of well sited vines in the Côte de Py and Grand Cras and now has a further 5 hectares inherited from his father all in the Côte de Py. The average age of the vines is 50 years and yields are kept very low. Fermentation is in lined concrete vats and the wine is bottled with the lightest of filtrations the following spring. Laurent's wines are rich, concentrated and intensely flavoured. We think we work hard but here it is just Laurent, his wife and a part time man in the vines!
