"A super value Mâcon that has rich, citrus fruit flavours and creamy texture."
In one guise or another the Talmard family have been working vineyards in the Maconais since the 17th century. The current generation in charge are Mallory and her husband Benjamin who were handed the baton to the estate in 1997 by Mallorys father Benjamin.
Based in Uchizy, they produce a number of different wines from the 30 ha of vineyards that they own across the region. Their Macon-Chardonnay comes from 5 ha in the village of Chardonnay that have predominantly limestone soils and a lesser amount of clay. Fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel, these are bright clean refreshing wines that drink beautifully in their youth and take on a lovely weight as they mature.
