In bond per 6x75cl - En Primeur

The 2023 Ferran is well-defined on the nose with raspberry and crushed strawberry fruit and light tobacco notes that filter through with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins that frame the lightly peppered red fruit, though it just misses a bit of persistence. That said, I would happily drink this over the next eight to ten years. Drinking Window 2026 - 2036"
Robert de Ferran, solicitor at the Bordeaux Parliament, gave his name to this vineyard followed by Montesquieu, philosopher winegrower, owner of the domaine in the 18th century. This terroir has always produced red and white wines which were then known as 'Premiers Graves Martillac'. The property has belonged to another old Bordelais family since 1880, and today the descendants of Joseph Beraud-Sudreau, Philippe and Ghislane Lacoste, have been managing the estate since 1999.
A lot of work has been done in recent years to restructure the vineyard and renovate the cellars which have resulted in numerous medals and good scores given by wine writers, particularly during the en primeur tastings.
