The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon is a powerful, deep wine that marries elegance and finesse in a way few people can do, like Ric Forman. Rich and sumptuous in the glass, with terrific depth, the 2020 has so much to offer. Black cherry, mocha, licorice, spice, incense and new leather are all dialed up. Although it is early, this 2020 is shaping up to be one of the finer wines of the year"
Since the early 1980s Ric Forman has made Cabernet Sauvignon in a resolutely old fashioned, Bordeaux-influenced style. The estate belongs alongside the likes of Dunn Vineyards, Philip Togni and Corison as a bastion of classic Napa. Ric founded his eponymous winery in 1983 to fulfill a dream of producing small quantities of classically made Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, the winery/vineyard is perched on a ridge at the base of Howell Mountain overlooking the town of St. Helena and consists of 11 acres, divided into three parcels, each one planted to the four Bordeaux varieties, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot.
