""Polished lemon yellow with a lovely luminescent colour. the nose is gently marked by oak; sweet but lovely and fresh with good energy. Palate is full and bold - a little more restrained this year with beautiful acidity, but familiar touches of candied fruit with a rich mouthfeel.
Another Great Success." - Richard Davis"
Jeff Carrel is an award winning producer from the south of France producing an eclectic range of excellent wines. Morillon Blanc is the original name for Chardonnay in the Pays d'Oc and was adopted by Jeff as the name for this very individual wine. Produced from botrytised fruit (the same noble rot that is found in Sauternes), but here vinified dry, the fruit gives immense concentration and deep flavour. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation are undertaken in barrel before a further 6 months lees ageing in tank.
