"Salmon pink colour, bright lovely fleshy texture and very good flavour, not a shy wine! Hints of strawberry fruit with a really succulent palate and finish, very good energy and length, particularly delicious"
Crochet is a well-known name in Sancerre, with many branches of the family producing wines under different labels. Jean-Marc and his son Mathieu have been working together since 2007 and we are particularly keen on the precision and finesse they achieve in their wines. Their cellars are in Bué, a charming "Sancerrois" village surrounded by vineyards on hills forming a natural amphitheatre. Their vineyards are mainly on the higher hillsides where there is clay mixed with the limestone which Jean-Marc is convinced brings an extra complexity of spices to the intense mineral character.
