Jean-Pierre Chevallier used to teach oenology at Bordeaux university before returning to the stunning family property, 15 hectares of chalky soils all surrounding the Château overlooking the Loire. Jean-Pierre has made Château de Villeneuve the reference for great Champigny and he is in high demand for his advice which he gives freely to his fellow growers. The reds are given part-barrel ageing in 250 litre and 500 litre demi muids. Jean Pierre's wines are sought after by all top restaurants in France.
