"This prestige cuvée is a symphony of smooth, black cherry, velvety richness, and you would not imagine such a wine could come from Beaujolais."
Annie and René Jambon purchased Domaine de Thulon, a tiny 10 hectare estate in Beaujolais in 1987 having farmed it as tenants for the previous 20 years. Now their Children Carine and Laurent are at the helm and are making superb wines that are breaking boundaries in terms of what we expect from Beaujolais. Their vineyards are on south facing steep slopes with a granite base where pruning and harvesting has to be done by hand.
Domaine de Thulon scooped the prize for "The Best Gamay In The World" last year, which backs up their credentials as superb winemakers. DBM Christmas favourite!
