"This mainly Merlot wine has firm tannins as well as rich black fruits. With good potential, the wine's structure balances with the density and berry flavors to promise future opulence and complexity"
Château Tournefeuille is located on a unique clay-gravel slope in the village of Néac. The vineyard has stunning views of the famous Pomerol terroirs and the legendary Petrus plateau. The grapes are planted on south-facing slopes resting on expansive clay and offering plenty of water regulation. The wines here are characterised by their roundness and density, their power and length with Merlot reigning supreme here. There is a gravelly outcrop that forms at the top of the hillside where the grapes ripen early, perfect terroir for Cabernets Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, which adds elegance and complexity to the wine blend.
74% merlot, 24% cabernet franc, 2% cabernet sauvignon
