"A fantastic find from Penedes in Spain – this has classic Rioja-style aromas with balsamic and vanilla hints and a silkily textured palate of cassis and red fruits. Very, very drinkable. The 2008 is newly shipped and continues the run of good form showing all the finesse and flavour that we enjoyed so much in the 2006 vintage - a great follow up."
Bodegas Pinord is a family business which was founded 150 years ago. Since then generation after generation, year after year, the wines produced by the family have been growing in prestige, the indigenous varieties have improved markedly, and the family name has become inseparably linked to the Penedés area where they are based.
The Clos de Torribas Crianza comprises 85% Tempranillo with 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. Ageing takes place in American Oak barrels for 10 months.
