"A blend of 40% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cabernet Franc, this combines a lovely weight of fruit with the natural freshness of the excellent 2019 vintage, a touch of vanilla from the use of oak adds interest on the palate."
Château Grand Lys is an old mansion dating from 1805 surrounded by vines. It is in the village of Cleyrac in the heart of the Entre-deux-Mers region, half-way between the Dordogne and Garonne rivers, close to the fortified town of Sauveterre-de-Guyenne which is steeped in medieval history. The vineyard was first planted in 1881, and today there are 25 hectares. Philippe Perron, the current owner, bought the estate in 1986.
