A solid Bordeaux, offering attractive red-fruited, spicy aromatics, medium to full body, a beautifully lush, supple texture, and a great finish. It has surprising mid-palate depth as well as length on the finish, and I'd be happy to drink it on release.

A Chateau that we have followed for several vintages and now presented with a new retro style label. In 2019 the Cuveé is 100% Merlot, giving a lovely depth of colour and a full plummy nose of dark, ripe blackberry fruit. The palate has a super volume of fruit and great energy courtesy of this beautifully balanced vintage. Whilst it may seem surprising to recommend such a young wine for current drinking this is already delicious with great length and a lovely build of flavour. Great value and highly recommended"
For 150 years the Falgueyret family have been tending vines in the Jugazan area of the Entre-deux-Mers. Since 2001, Jerôme Falgueyret armed with a degree in oenology has been vinifying the family wines which were previously sold to the local co-operative. The quality has improved dramatically under Jerome's guidance and the chateau now has a string of medals to its credit. This serious, rich claret blended from 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon is starting to drink beautifully.
The 2019 vintage in Bordeaux is being heralded as an outstanding year. whilst still young the 2019s have exceptional natural balance and already offer lovely drinking at this category of Bordeaux.
