Tasting Notes

"Evolved garnet colour but bright with a most attractive mature bouquet.  The palate has retained it’s freshness and energy with lovely depth and mature ripe tannins.  Mature and delicious current drinking. Tremendous value for a mature spicy claret in such vigorous condition." Aidan Bell

Property Information

This smooth, rounded and mature Listrac Medoc is just £10.75 when you buy 12 bottles ( normally £15.99) and provides plenty of soft, Merlot-rich flavour for a very small price tag.

With the aid of consultant winemaker Eric Boissenot (of Ch Latour and Ch Margaux) Michel Chevallier and his son Cédric have crafted a very nice wine from their 10 hectare plot in the commune of St Martin, adjacent to Listrac. A seriously great value claret that has the softness that comes with 11 years of ageing at the chateau, but is still vibrant and full of life, yet is affordable enough to drink every day.

"Evolved garnet colour but bright with a most attractive mature bouquet.  The palate has retained it’s freshness and energy with elegant gentle texture and rounded tannins.  Supple and very easy to enjoy now, very good value for a mature claret in such vigorous condition." Aidan Bell
