"A bright straw yellow wine. Vibrant fresh but intense pear, peach flavours with citrus fruit and a hint of grapefruit. Quite floral and aromatic.
Verdejo 60%, Sauvignon Blanc 40%"
Paul Shinnie and Marta Juega Rivera have worked together over the past decade to identify vineyards producing super quality unadulterated fruit. Their Campo Flores organic range is sourced from farmers in Cuenca, central Spain, who grow grapes much as they have done for centuries, cultivating old bush vines on sandy chalk soils, in a hot dry climate they have never used, nor needed chemicals.
The combination of low yielding vineyards and ripe fruit create wines that are suitable for any occasion. The winery is well equipped with the modern wine making facilities including stainless steel tanks for fermentation. The resulting wines are bright, clean, fresh and very good value.
