En Primeur In Bond per 12x75cl
A really charming Pomerol that matches finesse with flavour, this is a graceful style of wine that leaves your palate fresh and invigorated - delicious mid-term drinking and very good value.
Neal Martin, Vinous.com 91-93/100
The 2019 Bonalgue has a splendid bouquet with fresh black cherries, boysenberry and black truffle scents pouring from the glass. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, very refined and detailed with a fresh, tensile finish. This is one of the best Bonalgues that I have encountered. All that it needs is a tiny bit more of sustain. 2023-2042

This is focused and juicy with soft tannins and ripe fruit. It's full and round-textured in the mouth. Medium-bodied with black olives and blue fruit. Flavorful finish. Not the biggest wine, but poised and well-crafted.
'This over-achieving estate is one of the most consistent performers in Pomerol. Always a well-made, fleshy, succulent, hedonistic wine' Robert Parker
Owned by the Bourotte family since 1926 and popular since Napoleonic times, Chateau Bonalgue is a 9.5 ha property on gravel and sand soils in Pomerol, planted with 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. Following manual harvest the wines are fermented in temperature controlled vats prior to an 18 month elevage in barrel of which 50% are new each year.
