2014 Latriciéres Chambertin Grand Cru, Domaine Rossignol Trapet

Vineyard Information

Etymology reveals that the latin word ??tricae? means ??thing of little value, infertile ground??. It's true that the ground of Latricières-Chambertin, a continuation from Chambertin only separated by a small track, has very shallow topsoil. It is the nature of this soil which gives this climat its name and ground ; this poor soil could only be used for vines. The vines have an average age of 55 years (planted between 1934 and 1957), exclusively pinot noir
