Plenty of rich, warm and attractive mocha spices on the nose here. This has plenty of dark plum and blackberry aromas and flavors in the background. The palate has a fresh and almost crunchy feel. Tannins arrive smooth and even. With plum pip flavors to close. Try from 2021.

Vineyard Information

Chateau Grand Clapeau-Olivier Haut Medoc is located in Blanquefort adjacent to Ludon-Medoc. Originally a small monastery built in the late nineteenth century, it has been altered by various owners and has been in the Baudinière family since 1923.

Covering 120 hectares, with 36 hectares of vineyards located on the high gravelly land overlooking Bordeaux planted with 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 43% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot
