May 25th 2017 : May - Bordeaux Tasting
Clifton Shop, Thursday 25th May 2017
Bordeaux has always been one of France most reputable and consistent wine producing regions over the last 150 years. It is France’s largest wine region and produces a vast spectrum of wines: from red to sweet, expensive to reasonably priced. In short, Bordeaux produces wines for everyone.
In this tasting we will travel through Bordeaux main regions, from Left to Right bank, and from north to south, focusing on 2010 vintages for reds and 2015 vintages for whites, to get a clear overview of the different Bordeaux styles of wines and grape varieties.
We will also taste a sweet wine from the 2008 vintage.
All in all, it will be a great introduction to mid level “petit Chateau” Bordeaux wines or fantastic refresher tasting.
If you would like to be part of our “voyage” through the Bordeaux region, email firstname.lastname@example.org or give me a call on 01275 434989
Tickets are £15 per person and will include 6 wines in total. The tasting will start from 6.30 pm until 8pm in our shop on Kings Road, Clifton. Tickets are limited to 12 tickets.
I look forward to sharing these wines with you.
March 23rd 2017 - Mar 23rd : March Tasting - A Tour of Italy
Thursday 23rd March, 6.30pm
Join us in the shop for an intimate tasting of wines from around Italy.
Unlike France and Spain, Italy cultivates vines in almost every corner of the country and has more indigenous varieties than anywhere else in the world, producing a huge variety of different styles.
We’ll be tasting through a selection of whites and reds, giving you a good overview of what Italy has to offer and sharing some of our favourite wines.
Tickets are £10 each and places are limited to 12 guests.
If you can’t make it this time, we will be putting on monthly tastings, keep an eye on our Website for more information.
To book email james at James@DBMWines.co.uk or call us in the office on: 01275 434 980
April 13th 2017 : April Tasting - Special South Africans
South Africa’s wine producers have changed radically over the last 25 years, particularly so in the last 10 years. I was lucky enough to visit a good number of vineyards last summer and have been itching to share the spoils with you.
No longer is South African wine about big heavy Pinotage and over-oaked Chenin Blanc, there’s been a huge drive towards premium quality, and planting grape varieties that reflect their unique rugged terroir.
We’ll be tasting 6 wines from vineyards around the Cape from Constantia to Elgin informally over the course of an hour or so in our shop in Clifton.
Tickets are £12 each and places are limited to 12 people.
To book your place, email email@example.com or ring Grant on 01275 434984.
If you can’t make this tasting, look out for future monthly tastings in our shop, dates tbc.
