"Classic Pauillac nose of dark cassis fruits and graphite with some lifted menthol and mint aromas and an underlying note of French oak – great class and impressive intensity here; Silky smooth on the entry with great richness and concentration of fruit and a good tannic frame which is well hidden by the fruit – perfect balance. A very fine Pauillac which is superb now but will cellar well in the medium term. Drink"
Our Pauillac is produced from young parcels of vines situated in the First Growth vineyards of one of the most prestigious wine estates in the world. We are not at liberty to divulge the identity of the estate in question but if I mention that it is perhaps the most revered 1er Cru Classé of all, noted for its long-lived powerful wines, you may have an inkling to which estate I am referring to (apologies for the cloak and dagger routine but we are under strict instructions not to reveal which of the three First Growth Châteaux it heralds from).
