"Rated 4 stars and highly recommended in Decanter's June 2012 expert panel tasting of Chilean Sauvignon Blanc, the 2011 Reserva offers great value drinking at a shade under £10 a bottle: "grassy on the nose with refreshing citrus aromas, and offering a palate which has lovely minerality cut with mouth watering acidity and a moreish texture which leaves you wanting another sip. Delicious!""
Vina Echeverria is wholly owned by the Echeverria family who arrived in Chile in 1740 from the Basque town of Amezqueta. Roberto Echeverria has recently made a considerable investment both in the vineyard and winery and one of his current primary targets is to obtain certification for this estate as environmentally friendly in all aspects. Great care is taken with the overall vineyard management. The vineyard is sub-divided into very small lots, each controlled for nutrient and water requirements on an individual basis. This helps to ensure balance, ripening and consistency of the grapes throughout the estate so that quality is assured - indeed quality has never been better!
