"The 2007 vintage scooped Gold at the Sommelier Wine Awards 2012: Deeply coloured; very classy nose with lovely rich cherry fruit, very pure. The palate has a wonderful silky texture, very high in quality and really unfurls like a peacocks tail. Mineral complexity adds interest and this is rounded out with very fine tannins on the finish. Zaccheo and manages four estates across 424 hectares of land producing modern world class red wine from the Chianti Classico DOCG. Carpineto was the first ever Italian winery to win the IWSC International Winemaker of the Year Trophy in 1994.
